General Description
The HLC28L1 is a 25 Gbps DML laser driver, limiting post amplifier, dual CDR with integrated MCU and memory designed in an advanced CMOS process.
The HLC28L1 transmitter section includes a 25GAUI compliant input stage with adaptive equalisation, CDR, and programmable output eye shaping control and an integrated digital mean power controller (APC).
The HLC28L1 receiver limiting amplifier section has a high sensitivity input supporting a wide range of ROSAs, together with digitally configurable input equalisation, CDR, and a 25GAUI output stage with configurable pre-emphasis to deliver optimum system performance.
The HLC28L1 integrates all major functions to implement a DDMI compliant SFP28 transceiver with minimal additional external components: Auto-ranging ADCs, on-chip 8051 MCU, nonvolatile memory, and embedded firmware.
The HLC28L1 has an operating temperature range from -40°C to +95°C and is packaged in a compact chip-scale 4mm x 4mm ball grid array package.
