General Description
The HLC12V0 is a monolithic 12.5Gbps VCSEL driver and 12.5Gbps limiting post amplifier combined together with a fully programmable microcontroller unit and non-volatile memory manufactured in an advanced CMOS process.
The HLC12V0 transmitter section includes an integrated digital average optical power control, adjustable Input equalisation and programmable output eye shaping control.
The HLC12V0 receiver section features a high
sensitivity limiting amplifier with digitally configurable input equalisation and output preemphasis. The HLC12V0 is configured to provide hardware Rate Select controls.
Featuring an on-chip 8051 based microcontroller unit with code memory that is pre-programmed with embedded firmware. Including an autoranging ADC, the HLC12V0 integrates all major functions to implement a DDMI compliant SFP+ transceiver with no major additional external components.
The HLC12V0 operates from a +3.3V supply and over an operating temperature range from -40°C to +95°C. The HLC12V0 is packaged in a compact 4mm x 4mm, 28 pin QFN package.
